gcj-jdk software package provides gcj and Classpath development tools for Java(TM), you can install in your Ubuntu 16.10 (Yakkety Yak) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install gcj-jdk
gcj-jdk is installed in your system.
Make ensure the gcj-jdk package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep gcj-jdk *
You will get with gcj-jdk package name, version, architecture and description in a table
